The JetStor SAS Model 816S Direct Attached Storage (DAS) array features 12Gb SAS host performance to increase system efficiency and performance. It supports optional dual controllers and is equipped with 16 hot swappable SAS2/SATA3 hard disk drive bays with fast SAS2 host channels for a rapid, uninterrupted access to your most demanding applications requiring either high bandwidth or very rapid random I/O performance.
Engineered to meet stringent demands for continuous availability, JetStor SAS 816S DAS array features a brand-new 1.2GHz Dual Core RAID-On-Chip processor, Generation3 PCI-E internal bus, DDR3 cache, parity-assist ASIC, completely cableless backplane-based design, and storage capacities of almost 160TB in one small 3U disk enclosure. Further expansion is possible via JetStor SAS 816J JBOD expansion chassis.
Low service and integration costs are assured by the JetStor's cableless design, two redundant hot-swappable power supplies with two independent power inputs, turbo cooling fans, and embedded RAID controller. Three year warranty comes standard with every Direct Attached Storage (DAS) array and covers all components.
